Don't let bad reviews of this brand deter you: ALL the chicken sources in all brands had trouble because of virus spreading through chickens. This product has kept my AKC German Shepherds fit & healthy their entire lives.

    I have five bulldogs and two little ones that I use to feed Iams, after awhile I noticed their stool to be runny ,so I tried Costco's super blend and the same results so I read up on Rachel Ray nutrish and I tried the chicken and veggies and about a month into it I notice a big difference, one of my bulldogs I used to have to clean after he finished but no more now !!

    I have three dogs and they eat a lot. The grocery store only has 14 pound bags of this band, but this bag has 40 pounds. That's nearly three times as much for less than twice the price. Mathematically, that's a win. The people at my grocery store are probably worried about my dogs now because I don't need to buy dog food at the store, because I have forty pounds of it at home now. I should probably let them know the dogs are fine. If you're at my grocery store, can you let them know? Since I don't need to go buy dog food there, I'm not sure when I'll be back. I guess let them know I'm okay too. Well, I'm almost out of syrup, so I guess I'll have to go back, so I can tell them. Wait, does Amazon sell syrup? Nobody tells me anything. Anyway, my dogs eat this food and they're cool, so I guess, your dogs would be cool if they ate this food too. They're dogs. All dogs are cool.

    After lots of research and comparing and testing, this food wins. It is the most affordable dog food with quality ingredients that I've found. My dogs are Australian Shepherds and since starting this diet, their stools have regulated and they poop significantly less meaning they are absorbing the food. They shed WAY less! Their coats are healthier. They have more energy and we don't have to feed them as much as the cheaper foods because they are actually getting the nutrients instead of it going right through them. I'm sold! I have seen a huge change in my dogs!

    Our dog gets bored with his regular food, and this is a very reasonably priced quality food to mix. He likes the smell and flavor, rejuvenating his desire to eat. The kibble size is also to his liking, even though he is a large dog (90 lbs.), the smaller kibble is appetizing. Also, our dog has never gotten diarrhea using this brand as a mix, unlike what we have experienced in the past with other dog food products.

    Bella is in an 11 and 1/2-year-old St Bernard, who's very set in her ways and she definitely knows what she likes. She can finish her bowl of Rachael Ray's Nutrish dog food quicker than it takes me to fill it up and get out of the way. So I have learned to fill it while she's outside going potty... So that she's not sticking her head in the bowl while I'm trying to fill it... But, I'm pretty sure she's on to me. Lol 🐶

    I gradually moved my AmStaff Mix over to this brand From the Petsmart Simply Nourish Brand and she loves it. In the mornings after her business is done i say you hungry? you want some Rachael Ray? and she comes running back to the house. 40 lbs lasts for a while for my pup. i like the fact that its not like other foods where its crammed with fillers and nasty stuff. I also like the fact that a portion of the proceeds of the sale of the product goes to helping animals in need. i dont know what the amount for that is but even if its just a small portion its doing something to improve the life of a dog somewhere.

    He and the Alaskan Malamute have been on it for a month with out issues . The shepherd's stomach even seems to settle down. And a 40lb bag last longer.

    I wish I would have taken before & after pics ! Our dog had really bad looking skin , it was dry & scaly all over her body. The vet said it was common with her color & breed ( fawn doberman ) & gave us some fish oil to give her every day . Basically she was just gonna have this problem & try to help with giving her the fish oil. The fish oil didn't help. One day on my way home from work I saw a dog exactly like ours & I decided to stop . While I was there I asked them if their dog had any problems with his skin & she said YES we did until we started feeding him this food. I didn't believe it would help but was hoping it would. I went home & ordered it right away . It has been a couple of months now & her skin is almost all better !! I am so thankful for this product . I was feeding her pedigree . Hopefully this may help some other family / dog out there :)

    As I looked at it from my vehicle, I could not recall ordering something so big recently. I was so excited to see what new item had arrived!
    I skipped to my door anticipating what today's Amazon haul could be. The box was dead weight, I could not just pick up up and carry it inside. I had to set my keys and my purse down, to get a good hold on the box. I grunted and groaned while I pulled my new "treasure" into my entrance. I made such a scene that my dog joined in on the investigation! He walked around the box, sniffing, tail wagging, he seemed as as excited as I was.
    I pulled the "Amazon Ribbon of Happiness" that seals all my favorite deliveries, and freed my new purchase. While I was unfolding the box flaps, my dog became so excited that I could hardly keep him from climbing into the box. I turned around, looked at him and firmly said "Sit. Stay. Wait." Moose, ever the good boy, sadly followed my command.
    I spun around to seize the moment of calm, and reached in to pull out and inspect my bounty.
    When I pulled out the top end of the bag, Moose pounced on the bag claiming it as his. And he was right, it was his favorite food. He has been eating this food since he switched to adult food about 2 years ago. He will not eat anything else. His Vet says he is the perfect weight, he has hit all his growth milestones, his teeth are beautiful, his coat is shiny, and he never has an upset tummy.
    So, even though it was not a treat for myself, Rachael Ray Nutrish Premium Natural Dry Dog Food, Real Chicken & Veggies Recipe, 40 Pounds, did not disappoint!
    Moose is a very healthy, very happy boy, thanks to this product.
    We highly recommend it for you and your dog.

    My dogs love it. Occasionally I see the cats enjoying it too. Plus I know it's made with good ingredients at an affordable price. Being able to buy the largest bag possible is important because having 4 dogs, it was a hassle having to stop every other week at the grocery for smaller bags at the same price I can get it on Amazon for the large bag.

    My dog developed disgusting yeast issues from a cheap brand dog food. This was vet recommended. After a couple weeks on it, she is clearing up. I had them on Rachel Ray's Just 6 non-grain dog food, but had to pinch pennies for a few months, purchased a cheap brand, and this happened. After they finish this bag, they are going back on "the 6"! If by some chance in the future I can't by the 6, this is what I'll buy, regardless of cost!

    I used to buy this super expensive food for my dog and she wouldn't eat at all if it was just the kibbles. I always had to add some sauce of some sort. Now with this food, she goes right in. She absolutely loves the food and it makes me happy to know she isn't eating just because she is hungry. In addition to that, I also noticed she has been more upbeat and ready to go on long walks. I have zero complaints on the food.

    I have purchased this food six times. As soon as I get the bag I empty it into an airtight container and keep it sealed between feedings. It always smells and looks fresh. I have a 4 lb poodle, a 16 lb Frenchton and a 90 lb Doberman and all three of them love the food. I fed my dogs Pedigree for 35 years and finally realized that it was terrible food so after a lot of research decided to go to this food. All three of my dogs coats have gotten so shiny and thick and they all look like show dogs now. I will never feed them anything else.

    I switched from Blue Buffalo to this a few months ago. It didn't seem to be fresh after years of buying it. I slowly transitioned their food to this and while I'm preparing their food, they're dancing all around me. They NEVER did that before. Great value for the money too which has me dancing since there are 5 large mouths to feed.

    Update: 6/21/21
    My furbabies are still loving this food. I took them to the vet and the heavier pups, who needed to lose weight, even lost 5 lbs each to my surprise. I didn't change the amount of food I gave them but they are getting to healthier weights. I might need to start eating this too...lol

This greatly concerned me, but I fed my Sissy anyway. She got pancreatitis from it. I threw the rest away and opened the new bag. Of course she has not eaten any of the 2nd bag because she is so sick, but now I am afraid to use it. What do I do with 40lbs of dogwood. Very disappointing.

    My 3.5 year old Labradoodle has a very fickle stomach and would have loose stool periodically throughout each month. We never can predict when or why, but it was always bound to happen at least a few days each month. We have big name, expensive brands, in the past but always the same. I love that this food doesn't have grains in it because I don't believe dog's were made to eat "rice." This is meat and vegetables and after 3 months being on this, my boy has had consistent solid stools and he is definitely less gassy as well. You also can't beat this price for a 40lb bag. We had a couple foods that one dog would like but the other wouldn’t. But they both love Rachel Ray’s foods. This flavor has the best feedback from watching the dogs reaction. (I obviously don’t know what it taste like myself) We’ve been pretty consistent in buying it to make sure but now we have it on auto deliver, and it’s amazing! Dog food is one less thing we worry about now!

This has been a great options for him and we have purged it multiple times now so I’m pretty sure he will continue to do well on it. His tummy doesn’t get upset, skin isnt itchy(unless his outdoor allergies get him) and his coat is nice and shiny. We had found that the “fillers” in many foods just left him not feeling his best.

My Black Lab, however, is super picky. We usually mix it with some canned food and it's the canned stuff that would cause her to turn her nose up at it. I've seen her eat this dog food dry on occasion. So it must be good. I've tried the beef flavor as well, with the same response. My dogs love it.

I love this food for the price and it keeps his coat soft! I would switch all my dogs to this but my other two are seniors and this brand doesn’t have a designated senior food. If they did I would make the switch because it’s nearly half he cost of the other food! VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

    My fussy German Sheppard was vomiting frequently after 6 years on Pedigree products. After ruling out all serious medical issues, we learned that she might have developed an allergy to her food. First we fed her boiled chicken and rice, which she tolerated beautifully. Then we gradually reintroduced things into her diet, one at a time. At first, the clear culprit was milk bones, and to make a long story shorter, it turned out that anything with wheat or grain in it upset her stomach. Even though she gets wet food, she is supplemented with dry food and the Nutrish was the outstanding choice. She likes it, which is more than I can say about every other grain free product and she's feeling and looking great! 4 stars instead of 5 only because of the expense.

I've had my boy eating Racheal Days Rays for the past 3 months. At first when looking for heathly dog food I was afraid I would not be able to budget it until I came across almost exactly what ingredients and a good price. Worth the extra few bucks to keep my boy around a little longer. I know in the long run I'll be glad I made the swap.

    Dogs ate it the same as if I bought from the store ...scarfed it down. I do have a newer dog that this was new for her diet and her stools were soft for about 2 weeks. That could have been the new environment though. My other dog's stool loosens up whenever I switch flavors and takes a week or two to clear up. I usually just stick to the chicken. I examined the bag and food as some said they had mold in their bags. I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary. I had never ordered food online before so that made me really nervous. The bag is completely gone now and we are on our second that just arrived and all seems fine with that one as well.

    I'm not sure if this food is the culprit, but ever since I have been giving it to my dog, she has been drinking ALOT of water and has been leaking urine on the floor. It's the only food she has gobbled up without wet food on top, but I am wondering why the sudden change in bathroom behavior. I'm going to change to something else and see if she gets better.

    We have both a Standard Poodle and an Moyen Poodle although they are not picky eaters they do not process preservatives well. We Love the Rachael Ray Nutrish dry foods. Within 5 days there systems seemed to process this food with no side affects. Happy dogs make a Happy life in our home. We have been using Rachael Ray products for about 2 years now. GG and Chloe Belle highly recommend the Rachael Ray products. One of the best dog foods ever that we have used.

Dog has always had grain free food & has always chowed down on all brands, since I purchased this one (cost-effective w Subscribe & Save) first time, dog didn't chow down, I have to mix w other brand of grain free just so we can finish this gigantic bag.

    It feels deceptive to rate this "I love it" as it is dog food and I will not be trying for the sake of this review. HOWEVER, my dog (a 1.5 year 40 lb Pit/Lab Mix) does love it. We transitioned her over from Dog Chow in an effort to find a happy medium between "Mainly made of fillers dog food" and "Made of duck more expensive than you would feed yourself dog food". We considered going grain free but after doing research learned that is really only for dogs with food allergies. Thanks Rachel Ray.

    My dogs love this food, Rachel Ray's Nutrish in general.
    Our picky eater doesn't turn up his nose to this food, and our other dog we have noticed a big difference in the consistency of her stools. We have tried to go cheap, which leads to loose stools and allergies, and would end up in the poor house trying to afford the top of the line foods out there when we can't really tell a difference when we feed them that anyway, so we stick with this, rotating between beef and chicken.
