I use one can every morning with one can of Fancy Feast Creamy and one can of Friskies indoor spread among my five rescue cats that now range from age 4 - 7.
I use the kitten because of the vitamins/nutrients that kittens need and are good for my adult cats (as they are very picky about actual vitamins/supplements).
Giving them this (for me) has been great because it's easily digested and no one gets 'sick' after ingesting.
Hopefully this product will NOT be discontinued or ingredients will keep the same :)

We’ve been trying to keep our kittens on a wet food diet and this purine kitten food has been a good addition. Our kittens like the variety of flavors and they have steadily added and then maintained a healthy weight.
After multiple amazon shipments, I have had no issues with dented tins or torn boxes so the food has consistently maintained its quality. The tins are also stackable so it makes for easier storage. The cans are opened with a pull tab so there’s no need for a can opener and that’s helpful as well.
I’d recommend this cat food to anyone with kittens that wants a good variety of flavors for their pets.
Main downsides:
- It has a small amount of milk (luckily young kittens DO have the ability to digest lactose, although they lose this pretty quickly)
- It has meat biproducts (people get so upset about this but it’s actually not this big terrible thing 🤦🏻♀️)
- It comes in TINY cans and honestly I kinda have beef with pates because they can be hard to get out without using a spoon. Whatever, I’ll cope.
Main upsides:
- no grain filler (cats are carnivores!)
- inexpensive
- I’ve only had one kitten ever who didn’t like it and was stubborn enough not to eat it.
We say it in a lot of rescue circles: wet food you can afford is better than no wet food at all. (With the exception of watery poop, sometimes you gotta prioritize firming that up with dry food, but that’s just part of life)
Don’t let anyone shame you for taking care of your cat in the ways you can. Shelters are full of kittens who I can only HOPE will find an owner who cares enough to do their best.

Our kittens really like it and we haven’t had any issues with them throwing it up. We try to rotate the flavors as much as we can so they don’t get too used to one kind.
Overall this has worked great for us and it seems to be good quality when you can’t afford to buy the really expensive kinds. Our kittens have both been right on the mark for weight when we take them in for checkups as well, so that is also great!
Kitten's need A LOT more nutrition than cats which is why I was a bit disappointed by the nutrition count. I use it mainly as a spoiling treat as I do with my adult cat's wet food. Glad she still eats kibble to supplement this gap.
I usually don't buy Fancy Feast because of the can sizes. They're too small and I portion out servings per can.
The Fancy Feast food is still his favorite to this day. I have tried to switch him to many different wet foods that are much more expensive and have much better ingredients. He refuses to eat them all. I have successfully switched his dry food from IAMS to Tiki Cat after my veterinarian told me that the IAMS wasn't a good option for my cat.
No matter how many other brands I try, Fancy Feast pate is the only wet food my cat will eat.
I’m just getting the chicken and the salmon flavor separately but if you have a kitten that loves all of the flavors you will be happy with it because it’s a good deal for kitten food
My kittens will not eat any other food but Fancy Feast and I have to get it by the case because of the fact that I have two of them.
This box of goodness passes the test, thankfully, otherwise he'd have put me up for adoption.
The containers are filled with soft pate, without excessive gravy. They contain milk, which can be a change from regular diets - I alternate with another batch of Fancy Feast adult pate to be gentler to his stomach. The extra moisture is great for him, and he enjoys it alongside his crunchy food.
Y'all have been winning, up until now (thus the 3 stars), but super disappointed that an easy quality check via machine (did I notice? No. But I'm not a machine, have a lot on my plate, and am stressed to all hell. Great thing about machines, you tell them, "it should weigh 3 oz," bam! Fails if it doesn't weight 3 oz. Come on, y'all... Please, if yer gonna take the jobs out of the states, automate the quality check. I don't care if it is per can or per flat, but it should have flagged somewhere along the way... It's not like it was a full can of juice. It was the amount, plus a little, that would have been involved had the pate been there.
1) The turkey cans, for whatever reason, gave one out of my two kittens bad diarrhea. It's worth noting that the other kitten didn't have this problem with the turkey.
2) The fish flavored cans gave my kittens a very strong fishy breath lol. This did bother me a lot, since I'm not a big fan of seafood-smell, but if you don't mind that it definitely won't be a problem for you.
Otherwise, my kittens loved it! They eagerly ate every flavor and they have continued growing rapidly, and stayed healthy, while eating it.
I also used this wet food to wean my kittens, and I had no problem mixing it with their formula to make slurry (a wet food and formula mix). So if you're fostering kittens and in the process of weaning, this wet food is perfect!
(We have caught all 4 cats and took them to our TNR program ~ all 4 are fixed, have their shots and are doing great. Two of them stay outside in our yard full time. The other two come and say ‘hi’ every now and then ♥️)
Just a few months ago...someone dumped a mama cat and her 4 kittens in our culdesac. She was so skinny and they were all so so scared and skiddish. We started feeding “our” cats in our backyard so The mom and her babies would feel more at ease. They have been eating this up and loving it! I have been trying to fatten them up and this is a food that I can afford. Again, I have three large dogs, two cats and two children of my own to feed.
We have trapped them using this food and have gotten the kittens all fixed and their shots they the TNR program (we still need to catch the mom; she is pretty street smart).
I will continue to purchase fancy feast because it is affordable and none goes to waste with any of the cats.
