At first he didn't care for it much but I think he's okay with it now, I do think this is the stinkier than any wet food I've ever been around, but hey, if he doesn't mind it who am I to complain.
Ship them in boxes again please
Grain free, a good value, easy to find & highly palatable! What else can be asked?
My other 3 cats are jealous of her special food, but it is expensive. If you want to spoil your cat, this is the filet mignon of cat food.
Was trying to find something with good quality, but great for my senior cat who is 17 and with very few teeth left.
Unfortunately, a few days after starting her on a can a day, mixed with her old food, she started having diarrhea. She's really sore and raw there. I'm thinking it's due to the milk that's in it. So no more Creamy Delights for Ivy. Hummm . . . Maybe they could make a lactose free version? LOL
Whitey her sister said yuk and threw up.
I have not used these for a very long time. Both cats run to the bowl and eat right away so far with this variety pack.
My only issue is.the amount of food is less than other Fancy Feast cans and they still seem hungry after eating .
We went to our local pet store and picked one of everything that had the protein ratio our vet suggested -- Blue Buffalo, Nulo, Stella & Chewy's, Fromm's, Royal Canin, Instinct, Tiki Cat, Reveal, Purina, Earthborn, and tons more in every flavor. We literally spent hundreds of dollars to find which brands he liked. The only ones my cat would eat are Fancy Feast and Weruva.
Weruva is amazing, but double the cost of Fancy Feast. As a result, we feed mostly Fancy Feast and supplement with Weruva on the weekend and some kibble at night.
Since switching to Fancy Feast, my cat is more active, he drinks less water since he's getting it from his wet food, and his coat is shinier. He still has hairballs but they are fewer and further in between. witching to wet food was really intimidating for me because I was trying too hard and adding toppers, freeze dried stuff, and so much more, but now I just add water he is happy as can be.
My recommendations would be to try Fancy Feast, add a little bit of water to support hydration, and limit the number of seafood flavor cans you feed to limit heavy metal contamination. My cat loves this regiment and I hope yours does too!
Edit: I am on my last case before my next shipment and found that multiple of the lower level cans are really dented. I wouldn’t knowingly purchase dented cans like these, especially not with the seal busted which I won’t feed, so I will be in touch with Amazon about this. There wasn’t anything noticeable from the external packaging. The box is very thin so it could be from shipping and the plastic wrapped around it covers it so you can’t see. It’s rare to see such dented cans of food in store. Still recommend the food, assuming this was a one time thing and shipments henceforth are all fine and useable.
A friend gave me part of a case of tiny cans of cat food. I figured I would try it as a treat for my two house cats as they mostly only get dry "crunchies".
After opening a can and releasing the aroma .... Well, I've never seen cats dance around on their hind legs before. Now it's not like they NEVER get anything but whatever crunchies are made of. They get meat trimmings from the kitchen every few days and they really like it when that happens.
But the Fancy Feast seemed to be a few notches above all that. It is expensive enough that they only get a spoon full each in the morning as a breakfast treat. Plus, it keeps them occupied while I get something cooked for myself.
So, they MAY eat just about anything, but the Fancy Feast is certainly at the TOP of their menu!
She refuses to eat the tuna and salmon food. (Actually ok by me because she was throwing it up and her litter box was horrendous 🤢!)
Now she’s walking away from the regular chicken pate and I really can’t blame her-it stinks to high heaven! I gagged every time I opened a can of it and threw away at least 10 cans of it after they sat out all day uneaten.
I’m at a loss as to what to buy for her anymore 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
Just a heads up that the chicken and turkey does not come in this box. I think that flavor was discontinued. They should update the pic to reflect the contents accurately.
Anyway, happy cat, happy family.
Even though we don't like feeding our kitties "cheap" foods as their main meal, it's great for when they need a snack between meals or we just want to treat them. At this price point, it's hard to resist stocking up on it and ALL of our cats love these creamy little cans of food. In fact, if we buy a new super healthy, grain free, organic, blah blah blah food that they aren't eating very well, we will top it with this creamy food and they devour the whole plate. Kind of like sneaking veggies into cupcakes or something like people do with their kids.
Even if this were the only food we fed our kitties, it'd still be great because it has a high moisture content and the creamy texture seems to appeal to kitties with all different preferences.
But please, make the case chicken only. Cats truly don't mind a single food diet. Meat is meat, diet-wise, and chicken is certainly more natural to a domestic cat than beef. Who ever heard of a cat, other than a mountain lion/cougar or puma eating a cow?
Approximately 2 months ago, I found out my cat doesn't like the PATE wet food anymore. He loved it very much the first time I bought it, so I continued to buy thinking he would continue but 2 days after taking him to the vet for teeth cleaning, he refused to eat this food-he smells it and walked away. Surprised at this sudden change, I was so worried, I made an appointment to take him back to the vet after several attempts at feeding. Now I began to wonder what did the vet do to his gum, that has affected him so much , thus preventing him from eating (because he's been loving the Pate cat food before his teeth was cleaned)
Meantime, I opened new cans of Pate, as I wanted to be sure, but he still refused no matter what I did. It then dawned on me, what if its the texture (Pate) that causing him not to eat? I immediately drove to the store and purchased a can of food with a different texture (this time it had hunks of meat he could chew) and there was the solution to the issue--He ate all of the food with meat chunks. Yes, my furry baby son decided he's had enough, he's over this Pate situation, he can't stand it anymore, his palate has completely changed. One can imagine how relieved I was to know he wasn't ill. Suffice it to say, I cancelled the vet appointment as It wasn't an ailment or damaged gum issue --it's a texture issue.
I've knocked off one star because I believe its still a good product, though he doesn't think so.
My First Review: He eats it all up every time and has no complaints whatsoever. Will continue buying these as long as he continues to love them.
