Adjust amounts accordingly over time. These portions are averages; portions will vary by the age, activity, size, and temperament of your dog. When introducing Earthborn Holistic® to your dog’s diet, mix increasing amounts of Earthborn Holistic® with decreasing amounts of the old food over a 1 – week period.
During gestation and lactation, feed 2 – 3 times as much food as recommended in the Daily Feeding Guide for the weight of your Adult dog. Puppies start to eat solid foods at 3 – 4 weeks of age and should have free access to solid food from that time until weaning. You may keep Earthborn Holistic® before your puppy at all times. Most puppies will satisfy their nutritional needs as their appetites dictate. Have clean, fresh water available for your dog at all times.
On days 1 & 2 of the change, you should have plenty of your pet’s old food left. Fill the bowl with 3 quarters of the old food, and one quarter of Earthborn Holistic. On days 3 & 4, add in another quarter, so you have half old food, half Earthborn Holistic. On days 5 & 6, mix one quarter old food and 3 quarters Earthborn Holistic Food for Pets. In only 7 days, your pet will be on an all-new diet of Earthborn Holistic Food for Pets!

I am very pleased with the service from Amazon, which is always quick and affordable, and for offering distributors that can keep on supplying Earthborn for my happy dogs!
I have three 60lb dogs (2, 12, and 15) and I guess I never noticed how bad their gas was until we all three moved into an RV a few months ago after selling my very spacious house where I was not bombarded by fart fumes nearly as badly. My youngest, at 2 years old, has always had a sensitive stomach. When I first got him the vet recommended Purina Pro Plan. He vomited after every meal and had terrible diarrhea as well as horrible gas. The Pro Plan also caused my two senior dogs to chew their feet raw and lick their fur off. I have been on the hunt for the perfect food ever since then, and I have never found a food that worked for all three of them until I bought this.
I should mention that I have always lived in the country and have had several acres fenced for my dogs to roam about to do their business, so I have never had to really handle their poop before. I might run over some while mowing, but that was about the extent of my relationship with their bowel habits - aside from potty training the youngest. I would usually let them out to do their business and let them back in when they returned to the door.
Then we moved into an RV park for a few months. This meant leashed walks with poop bags. Boy was I in for a surprise. I literally had three walking, breathing, soft serve machines. And it wasn't the kind of chocolate soft serve you want to be handling either. It was like warm pudding. And of course they just had to do their business in the pine straw which would either puncture the poop bags or just be an absolute nightmare to bag at all. I have had more dog poop on my hand in the last 2 months than I have ever had in my entire life.
This whole ordeal put me back on my hunt for the perfect dog food yet again. I tried several different brands before I found Earthborn Holistic Meadow Feast. Every single one of the other foods we tried made my youngest dog have episodes of vomiting as well as constant diarrhea and gas. The two older dogs had TERRIBLE gas. My oldest dog, at 15 years old, also had diarrhea.
I was a little hesitant to buy such a large bag of $50 dog food (they did not carry any smaller sizes at TSC) because if it didn't work out, I'd be out $50 and back to dealing with all of the above bowel issues. But I am pleased to report that within 2 days of being on this food, ALL THREE of them had solid poops, and they only have very occasional gas. I did not even bother transitioning them to this food because the side effects of the previous food they were eating was SO BAD that it couldn't have gotten much worse. They adjusted very quickly and none of them have had any bouts of diarrhea since.
I mix each dog's dry food with 1/3 can of the Rachael Ray Nutrish canned dog food (the chicken/apple and beef/pumpkin variety pack) and some warm water because two of them take several medications. I just toss the pills in their food they eat them without needing to hide them in a pill pocket. I did not see any Earthborn Holistic canned dog food the day I was at TSC, so I'm not sure if they carry it or if they were just out, but the ingredients on the Nutrish canned food and the price got my seal of approval.
My dogs seem to love this food, and it agrees with their sensitive stomachs and we have zero issues with licking and chewing any longer. I am so glad I finally found something that works for all three of them, and I am SOOOOO glad I can now bag their poop without getting any on my hands. And the lack of noxious gas is a huge plus too since we are in such close quarters now! I HAVE FINALLY FOUND THE PERFECT FOOD FOR ALL THREE OF MY DOGS!
Working great for the digestion issues with Pup #1. BUT Pup#2 who has no allergy or digestion problems, developed severe itching. Finally narrowed it down to this product that I had been giving as a snack to supplement the rather bland Purina EN. As soon as I stopped giving him this, the itching has disappeared - it started diminishing the very next day. I do not know what was the trigger but there is something in there.
She also eats homemade food mostly on the weekends and found out that alternating between the homemade and the kibble has not caused her digestion issues. She likes this dry kibble and always finishes her bowl.
It is a good food that many dogs will really like. As always, I suggest that you start with a small bag to see how your dog feels about it, as every dog is different.
My dogs have had no digestive upset since starting this food and bowel movements are firm and solid.
I’m very happy with this dog food, I feel very comfortable feeding it to my dogs as well as recommending it to others.
My dog was very happy to have Meadow Feast for breakfast. The ingredient list is limited compared to some kibbles and designed to be good for dogs with sensitive stomachs. The product literature stresses the presence of superfoods such as flaxseeds and blueberries, also designed to provide good digestion. I particularly appreciate the quality zip closure to keep the contents fresh, as my dog can be indifferent to stale food.

Overall the ingredients are good. Meat is up there in the ingredients and the brand has a pretty good track record, so if you are feeding kibble this one is a good quality and to me it seems like an affordable price.
