Breakfast and Dinner. Every. Single. Day.
Like he's never had it before. He eats it like it's the first and last time he'll ever have it again.
Even my vet gave this two thumbs up for complete nutrition at our appointment, and it's helped my boy gain weight, and keep the weight on because he loves the taste of this food.
just the price has to come down some. figure it out purina
Purina is also one of the 5 brands (Purina, Royal Canin, Eukanuba, IAMS, and Hills) that actually has veterinary nutritionists staffed and actually perform long term feeding trials, so our beloved pets aren’t the test subjects as they are with other boutique companies.
She hasn't experienced any GI upset since we started this food. Bowel movements have normalized (sorry, TMI) and she absolutely loves this food. Coat is healthy and shiny, less flatulence, and it doesn't smell as terrible as some other dog foods. It's still a bit pricey, but worth it to us considering the quality.
Updated review, we no longer feed proplan as of fall 2020. My dogs did well on 30/20, 26/16 food for many, many years. However, the past year I have had several dogs of all ages, on both foods fall ill. Dogs developed GI distress, weight loss and coat changes and hair loss. We normally use a probiotic, so the addition of a probiotic would not contribute to the symptoms that developed due to the advertised "formula change". Too many users of this product with sick dogs to be coincidence. Surprisingly no recalls...
My golden retriever loves this as the breeder started him in the brand/formula. The cost is very reasonable compared to top competitor brands and in my opinion, better quality for the price. His coat is healthy, full, no stomach or allergy issues.
