My cats digest it well. All my cats are a healthy weight except one cat that weighs 21 pounds. My only complaint is that the shreds don’t come out of the can that easily. I will continue to buy this regardless.

Btw — if you're not sure whether to get the pate or this, choose this. The price point isn't all that different, and unfortunately, my cat is repulsed by the pate, so slightly pickier cats will likely prefer the shreds.
And our cat loves the shreds.

I HIGHLY Recommend...... Purina Friskies Wet Cat Food Variety Pack, Shreds
The items arrived in two shipments of 80 cans each. The cats love the food BUT of the first 70 cans nearly every can had a dent in it. Several cans, (2), were so smashed up and leaking that I had to throw them away.
Still at $0.65 cents a can, it's a great value, a purchase I'd still recommend and make again, and the cats don't mind a dent or two, they simply love the food.
Got the new food and went to feed the furballs. They literally turned their distinguished little noses up. My boy, whose the most food motivated of the two, wouldn't eat at all. My girl ate a few bites, bht ultimately left it alone. Both bowls were still full when I got up the next day!
I was thinking, maybe they just don't like the flavor. So I tried a second type the next day and still they wouldn't eat!
By the third day, I gave up. Bought a couple cans of pate at the super market and they ate that right up!
So, reluctantly I donated the rest of the food and bought the 40 pack of pate instead. I wasn't going to even try and return the open box when I could pass it along instead. My loss.
Best advice: Read articles on what's best for your animals if you care about their well-being more than your wallet.
